I missed about half a dozen month in review posts. Oh well. No time like the present to catch up.
Highlights: our first New years eve together, SNOW DAY(s), hitting the book jackpot at the Pearl Salvation Army (it’s right across from a place with a sign that boasts HAIRCUTS SEVEN DOLLARS), David got a tattoo, school science fair, girls weekend in Oxford with Emily & Helen, and the arrival of Whole Foods.
We read… Wonder, Killing Kennedy, Where’d You Go, Bernadette?, Me Before You, Rise & Shine (me) and Everyday Church, The Road, and another Cormac McCarthy book I can’t remember (David). I think we can read 100 books this year. David says no.
We ate… at yummy Oxford restaurants (Boure, Big Bad Breakfast, etc.), Bravo for the first time (it was good), Beer Can Chicken (Bon Appetit), Chicken and Rice (Mess of Greens), and Margherita pizza (Annie’s Eats). We made a lot of homemade pizza, actually.
And my favorite thing on the whole Internet in January was this Kid President video. If you haven’t seen it, you should watch it right this very minute.
